Isn't she pretty?

I'm getting a heck of a birthday present this year.

The only problem is I don't have her yet. So it's still a possibility that it might not happen, but hopes are already high. I hope Pedro likes her. You remember Pedro, right?

Well they have to get along 'cause he's really doing all the work of the downloading. Then comes the question of what to name the new camera. She's a bit girlier, as you can tell. Quite the curves. But there aren't too many girls on the Mets to go with Pedro's theme. It's all very complicated. Any suggestions?

Apollo discovers Fort Tryon

Apollo's a curious critter even though he was rather shy about the outdoors when all it entailed was a noisy sidewalk with zooming cars. This weekend we carried Apollo about ten blocks north to Fort Tryon, a beautiful park with grass, dirt, trees, flowers, and noticeably fewer vehicles.

On his first enjoyable day out he met a dog, chased a rat, stalked a squirrel, and took time out of his busy schedule to smell the flowers. No matter what his activity, he couldn't keep his paws out of the dirt.

Apollo's a Big Outside Boy Now

Apollo did not like his harness. He tried to bite it. He tried kicking it off. He refused to move. Apollo certainly did not like his harness.

Apollo did not like leaving his apartment. He sat. He sulked. He certainly did not like leaving his apartment.

Apollo did not like going down the hall. He turned around. He did not do as he was told. Apollo certainly did not like going down the hall.

Apollo did not like the elevator. He did want to go on the big noisy box. He did not like how it moved under his feet. In fact, Apollo hated the elevator.

Apollo did not like the outdoors. He clung close to the stairs. He would not walk. Apollo certainly did not like the outdoors.

Apollo did not like being carried towards the sidewalk. He did not want to go near noisy cars. He dug his claws in Jordan's shirt. Apollo certainly did not like being carried toward the sidewalk.

Though it was rather nice up there on that pedastal.

Apollo did not like going on the sidewalk. He did not want to get trampled on by pedestrians. He did not like the bikes. He did not like being out in the open. Apollo certainly did not like the sidewalk.

Though the tree and dirt weren't totally awful.

Apollo made it all the way to the curb. He was such a big boy. He sure showed them how brave he was. He might even do it again sometime.
